Coronavirus — What are we not being told?
The recent outbreak of Coronavirus has taken the world by storm. What was at first thought of as a small local outbreak is now turning into a global pandemic. If you have been following this in any way then you will have certainly seen the figures of how many people have been “CONFIRMED” and how many have “DIED”. Roughly: 4600 confirmed and 110 dead (at the time of writing this). However, there are many scientists around the world that believe the figures could be exponentially higher.
A quick backstory: My wife is from Mainland China and we have two young boys, 4 and 1 years old. My son will be turning 5 next year and in the United Kingdom, he will not be able to miss school to go spend Chinese New Year from that age onwards or the family faces being fined for taking the child out of school during term time. So we thought it was a great idea for my wife and sons to go and spend time with the family during the lunar festivities. I had seen the news that there had been a small number of people infected in Wuhan by a new virus, which at the time did not have a name, but we felt it was small and seemed to be under government control. We were wrong!
